Mysterious meeting with an HR manager
The Web pals band has been around for about three years. She started from the core of employees who would play together for their enjoyment until they were invited to a mysterious meeting with one of the company’s HR executives who offered them an unmissable offer: to form a company band to play at the upcoming year’s event. The band was formed and started practicing seriously, in a professional studio, starring on the clip and even printing a shirt for them.
“On our first performance, we warmed Ivri Lider and even played his band’s instruments. Later we also warmed up Static and Ben-El, Abraham Tal and Tuna, and our last gig was at the Octoberfest in the company. ” The band plays Mostly rock and funk, with the emphasis on bouncy songs most people know, “something that will give people energy and a good atmosphere.”
The Rockist CEO wanted a representative band
Lilium was founded about a year ago by LivePerson CEO Yuval Malton. Yuval is a soul rocker and guitar player himself. He decided to apply in his company his view that sees a positive relationship between music, music and creativity. To this end, a professional music room was set up in the company’s offices in Raanana and the band was formed. In addition, the company promotes guitar playing for employees.
The band is made up of programmers, product people, executives and more, whose love of music connects and makes them good friends. They play mostly mainstream and Israeli rock (but numbers that sometimes sneak into the playlist rocking adaptations for Oriental songs).
“Before the first show, we wanted to choose a dress that fits a heavy, self-respecting rock band, and we found ourselves playing with elephant-shaped fur hats. Since then these hats are affiliated with the band and accompany us every performance. By the way, before that show, we felt a little bit like rock-star when we let ourselves relax in the artist’s room in the showroom. But we quickly realized that it was a temporary experience, and when the real artist entered the room, we brought us back to reality and sent us to prepare for a performance in the equipment warehouse. We didn’t take it hard, because the most equal bands in history started from the garage. ”
Heat Berry Sakharov and Ivri Lider
EBay’s band was founded in 2011 by a group of music-loving employees who wanted to play together. What began as a monthly meeting soon evolved into weekly rehearsal sessions in the specially established music room and of course, performances. The band began to play and karaoke to guests from abroad. Seeing that good and the positive feedback flowed from all sides, the band began to play and sing at company events.
The band plays and sings cabaret for rock and midway music, in Hebrew and English, as well as songs adapted to the type of event, such as holiday songs. She serves as a warm-up band for the artists featured in the company’s events, such as Berry Sakharov and Ivri Lider. The band also performs at ceremonies such as Memorial Day and Holocaust Day.
The former “Fish Snake” vocalist formed the band
Natural Intelligence’s band is called Above the Fold (double the meaning: “above search results” and “pick up” the performance). It was established two and a half years ago, just in time to perform at the company event in Eilat. Since that performance, which was exciting and spectacular, the band has participated in almost all the events of the company and sometimes leads them. The band trains in the company’s music room and creates a kind of pride among the employees.
The band is led by David Muscatell, former soloist of The Fish Snake. His professional accompaniment, combined with rehearsals and collaborative work, gives the band members the confidence to take the stage and provide them with a pleasant framework to create and play. Together they choose the songs and create new adaptations in which each of the members of the composition is expressed.
The band members learn to listen to music in a new way, they know the concepts of music, and of course, learn to collaborate with them in territory that is not their “natural” and everyday place. The joint experience creates learning, exploration and challenge situations for each member of the lineup.
Write a song – like developing a product
The General Motors band was formed just a few months ago and its members already say they feel like family. Each member of the band comes from a different team in the company and their acquaintance has resulted in original collaborations (e.g. autonomous parking guided).
When it was decided on the band’s first performance, as part of the family event, it turned out they didn’t have enough time to prepare. They rehearsed the short sessions in the MD, where two or three members of the band participated each time. The integration was only made back to the last, shared. “In other words, we used a product development technique just like working at GM.”
10 percent of the company’s employees were members of the band
Fyber’s band, the Fairbeats, was formed about a year ago. The response was at its peak, and the band numbered 10 musicians and singers from all departments, a number that at the time accounted for 10% of all company employees. The band members took on simple tasks: they invented houses for songs, practiced unexpected music styles and more, but finally, the investment paid off. The band’s first performance, which took place at a huge Purim party, was a resounding success.
The band performs at company events with a diverse lineup that caters to everyone: from subliminal, static and eleven, from sleep to madonna, Maroon 5 and many more. The band members plan to write original songs and add performances throughout the year as well.
Fairbeats even has a warm-up show: one of the band members, Nadav Shalev, is also a talented imitator. He imitates Shauli, the familiar figure from “Wonderful Land,” and eventually invites the band to the stage.
